Our mission is to save and change lives.

Sex isn’t the same thing as love, but sometimes we confuse the two. Real love is about commitment—a relationship that values you as a total person: heart, mind, passions, emotions, vision…so much more than just body parts! True intimacy takes time.

HAVE SEX.
You can give into the pressures and indulge in your desires.
RESULTS: Emotional effects like…
• Doubt
• Fear
• Loss of trust
• Rejection
• Low self-esteem
• Bitterness
• Anger
• Emotional shutdown
• Depression
Physical effects like…
• Unwanted pregnancy
• Sexually transmitted diseases

SAVE SEX You can postpone sex until you are in a deep, committed relationship with someone who respects and loves you with a life-long love (i.e. marriage!).
RESULTS:
Emotional effects like…
• Empowerment, feeling that you’ve taken control of your life
• Greater sense of trust in your relationship
• Confidence
And life effects like…
• More opportunities to reach your goals
• Enjoying a relationship built on honesty, unselfishness, and real love
• Enjoying being young!
• Ultimate freedom—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually

You can define your SEXUALITY—or you can let it define YOU!

PLAN AHEAD
Plan something fun to do on dates: hiking, rock climbing, cooking together, volunteering together at a charity, having a karaoke party, playing games or sports with friends, taking kickboxing lessons, anything! Planning something to do will make it easier to stick to your standards.

IT’S PROGRESSIVE
Sex doesn’t “just happen.” Decide where YOU draw the line.

STICK TO IT
Saving sex for marriage is the best decision. It may be hard at times, but remember that you are not only protecting yourself and your future, you are preparing yourself for more joy satisfaction and intimacy with your future spouse!

NO APOLOGIES!
It’s never too late! You can’t do anything about your past; what’s done is done. If you’ve made bad choices before, face the consequences—get tested for any health problems. At the Laredo Life Center we want to help you look toward your future; call 956-285-2536 to discuss choosing abstinence with a counselor.

COMMITTING TO ABSTINENCE allows your heart, mind and soul to:
• Heal from emotional pain
• Begin putting your past behind you
• Avoid future unplanned pregnancies
• Avoid future STDs, including HIV and AIDS
• Pursue your goals and dreams
• Restore your trust in love
• Believe in yourself again
• Keep your freedom
