Is SPROUTS for ME?

Pregnancy and parenting are filled with uncertainty. Being a part of the Earn While You Learn program at the Laredo Life Center helps to ease your anxiety and to answer many of the questions first time and expectant parents have.
You can Earn While You Learn. With each lesson you complete you will earn points for baby supplies and other materials.   Many parents want to learn the skills and information they need to be a good parent and raise a happy, healthy child. The Life Center staff is available to help you during this time of transition with education and support.   The lessons are fun, interesting, and practical and will help you learn to be the best parent you can be.

How could SPROUTS help ME? 

Support —The Sprouts counselors understand the concerns that come along with pregnancy or being a new mother. We are dedicated to a providing loving, confidential environment in which you can comfortably share these concerns.

Education — Your Sprouts counselor will develop a personalized curriculum covering a variety of topics including prenatal development, infant care, child-rearing, values, and life skills training.

Referrals — Sprouts counselors will help you locate needed Medicaid, WIC, housing, adoption, and social services

Baby botique — Shop for maternity and baby items in our mom and baby boutique with the Sprouts points you will earn.

When can I attend a class? 

Tuesdays 1:30pm-3:30pm, Wednesday 9:30am-11:30am, Thursdays 4pm-6pm, and Friday 9am-11am.    Feel free to come in any time we are open or schedule an appointment by calling 956- 727-1312.  Classes generally last one hour.
